Helping children grow, learn, and gain new skills!
Today, children are raised in multifaceted manners. Care in a child’s home, care in an organized child care center, and care in a provider’s home—known as family child care—are all common arrangements for preschool-aged children. Older children also may receive child day care services when they are not in school, generally through before- and after-school programs or private summer school programs.
What children learn and experience during their early years can shape views of themselves and the world and can affect later success or failure in school, work, and their personal lives. Seeing students develop new skills and gain an appreciation of knowledge and learning is very rewarding.
Hi, I am Cathy Williams, a Professional Child Care Provider Licensed in the State of Maryland, having over 20 years in the medical field as a Certified Nurse/Technician; and the Directorof MentorMe Family Daycare™. I am First Aid and CPR Certified, seeking a degree in Early Childhood Education and have letters of accommodation and letters of appreciation. My environment is pet-free and smoke-free. I amnot a babysitter. I understand that obtaining affordable, quality child care, especially for children under age 5, is a major concern for many parents. My goal is to provide your child with a clean, safe, comfortable environment where he/she can play and learn with guidance and loving care while you are at work or attending school.
Infants are exceptional and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping. MentorMe Family Daycare™ uses these patterns as our guide to introduce daily activities to help prepare and strengthen your infant’s growth. We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child.
Toddlers learn through sensory experiences that enhance their cognitive, language, motor and social skills. They turn ideas into words and phrases to better express themselves, and practice the value of sharing and cooperating through group play.
Pre-Schoolers are curious about the world around them. They are busy exploring their environment and learning to communicate their thoughts. MentorMe Family Daycare™ will help your child build skills and confidence through games, songs, movement and art by encouraging child-directed play.
Because MentorMe Family Daycare™ strongly believes that every child should be taught to read and write at an early age, we focus our endeavors in this area. Whereas we can not guarantee that your child will be fully developed by Pre-K, we commit to directing our efforts in this area to best prepare your child for the challenge. MentorMe Family Daycare™exists to make a difference for each child, family and community through meaningful partnerships and implemented accountability so that we are always striving towards excellence!
